On Tuesday, March 18, former Eureka High School standout Cole Koonce’s current college team, the Southern Illinois Salukis, won 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

The game took place at Itchy Jones Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Leathernecks this season.

The Salukis’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at Itchy Jones Stadium against UIC Flames.
