Ann Wagner, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Missouri’s 2nd district since 2013, posted several updates on her social media account on September 10, 2025. The posts addressed both constituent engagement and the news of an apparent act of political violence.

In a message published at 19:02 UTC, Wagner highlighted a recent visit from a constituent: "It’s always great having constituents visit our office in Washington, D.C.! Thanks to Julie for dropping by to say hi while she was in town for the America’s Credit Unions Congressional Caucus."

Shortly after, at 19:14 UTC, Wagner called for support for Charlie Kirk and his family with the post: "Join me in praying hard for Charlie Kirk and his family right now."

Later that evening, Wagner commented on what she described as a tragic event involving Charlie Kirk. At 21:39 UTC she wrote: "This is a tragic day in America. I am praying for Charlie’s wife, his two young children, and all who knew him. Political violence has absolutely no place in our nation, and his murderer must be captured and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Justice must and will be"

Wagner has served Missouri's 2nd District since succeeding Todd Akin in 2013. She was born in St Louis in 1962 and currently resides in Ballwin. Wagner earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri in 1984.
