Congresswoman Ann Wagner, who represents Missouri’s 2nd district and serves as Co-Chair of the Abraham Accords Caucus, issued a statement on the recent release of hostages from Gaza.

“It has been two long years since these hostages were ripped away from their families in the midst of the brutal Hamas terror attack. That’s two years of not knowing when, or if, they would ever see their loved ones again. I am so incredibly grateful to see these innocents going home today, and my heart goes out to the families of the hostages who were killed in captivity in the furtherance of Hamas’s depraved anti-Semitic ideology.

“I’m hopeful today marks a turning point towards a more peaceful, just, and prosperous Middle East. Thank you to President Trump and his Administration for their strength and unparalleled diplomacy that made this miraculous day a reality.”

Ann Wagner has served in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 2nd District since 2013, after succeeding Todd Akin. Wagner was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1962 and currently lives in Ballwin. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
