Ann Wagner, a U.S. Congress member representing Missouri’s 2nd district since 2013, has made several statements via social media addressing issues of political violence, international relations, and defense intelligence. Wagner replaced former U.S. Congress member Todd Akin in 2013 and currently resides in Ballwin, Missouri.

On May 7, 2025, Wagner expressed her concern about an incident she describes as politically motivated violence targeting Republicans. She stated that "there is no question this shooter was politically motivated and trying to kill Republicans." Wagner criticized the FBI for allegedly attempting to conceal the nature of the attack and called it a "terror attack on Republican Members."

The following day, on May 8, Wagner addressed actions taken under the Biden Administration concerning Chinese entities' oil purchases from Iran. In her tweet, she noted that "Congress required Treasury to determine whether any Chinese entities have engaged in oil purchases from Iran," but accused the Biden Treasury Department of failing to provide Congress with this information.

Also on May 8, Wagner announced her leadership role in a visit to the Defense Intelligence Agency as OSINT Chair. She shared a link for further details on this engagement: "RELEASE: OSINT Chair Wagner Leads Member Visit to Defense Intelligence Agency."
