Congresswoman Ann Wagner has issued a statement regarding recent Israeli military actions targeting Iran. The strikes are in response to Iran's ongoing pursuit of nuclear weapons, according to Wagner.
"We must be abundantly clear: Iran made the choice to pursue nuclear weapons, and Israel has every right to defend itself from this existential threat," said Wagner. She emphasized that Iran had been given numerous opportunities to accept peace proposals during the Trump Administration but declined each time.
Wagner further noted, "Iran made its choice, and now faces consequences for that action." She also warned that "The United States is watching, and Iran should be careful not to do anything that endangers the safety of Americans or our interests worldwide."
