Congresswoman Ann Wagner has expressed her support for the FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) following a recent vote. Wagner emphasized the importance of maintaining strong national security and supporting servicemembers. "Our world is in a dangerous place, and it is incredibly vital we maintain a strong national security and provide essential support to our servicemembers as they fight to defend our nation," she stated.

The NDAA aims to enhance military compensation, providing a 14.5% raise for junior enlisted servicemembers. It also seeks to assist military spouses in maintaining employment and improve recruiting programs. Wagner highlighted the legislation's role in countering aggression from the Chinese Communist Party in the Indo-Pacific region and protecting sensitive defense intelligence.

Additionally, the NDAA addresses border security by supporting Border Patrol operations and counternarcotics activities along both southern and maritime borders. Wagner noted that the legislation shifts focus away from cultural issues towards its primary mission: defending the nation.

Wagner also underscored her advocacy for Missouri's economic interests, announcing that $2.4 billion will be allocated for 24 F-15EX aircraft manufactured in Missouri. She criticized what she described as an "Administration’s misguided attempt" to reduce these aircraft numbers, stressing their significance amid global instability.
